4 our stylists ATLANTA Where did you do your cosmetology training? I received training from Southwest Georgia Technical College for my Cosmetology license. My advanced training came from one of my mentors Onieda Carter when I was 17 years old. I later went on to recieve my Educator licenses from Empire Beauty School. What are a couple of areas that you feel are your strengths when it comes to styling? When it comes to styling, one of my strengths is to actively and physically listen to what the hair needs. I aim to provide my clients with results of stronger healthy strands. My strength is providing dull lifeless hair with a road map to healthy hair. If you were going to visit salon, what would an ideal salon experience look like? A salon has to provide a great experience to the clients. Its important that they are provided with superior customer service. The ideal salon to me is a reflection of the overall experience for both you and the client. Many clients want to leave out feeling better than when they walked in. If you provide clients with what they want, there is a strong chance that they will return. There has to be passion about what you are providing and giving your clients. I always like to ask my clients things such as "What are you expectations?" A client will grant you with important key factors in what yhey want thier ideal salon experience to be like. Those factors will help you grow and provide to your clients what they need. Important fact to remember is that clients are the source that keeps the doors open. What are a couple of healthy hair tips that you would give somebody sitting in your styling chair? A couple healthy hair tips that I find essential is making sure clients understand the importance of shampoing, conditioners, oils, and treatments that help assist the hair with cleansing, moisture, and hydration. This leads to a healthy luster, great elasticity, and strong strands. I also share with my clients the danger of using too much heat and not trimming the ends. How are you currently wearing your hair most frequently these days? I believe woman should embrace their hair and have fun. I am naturally tight curly with one side shaved. Sometimes I wear my hair big and curl (which is my favorite) and other times it may be long with body curls or straight. If you could visit a city/place, where would it be and why? If I could visit any place, I would choose Paris. I have always beem infatuated with the culture and beauty of the people. I feel like it represents romance and everlasting love. Paris, I will see you soon. Why should a potential client schedule an appointment with you? A client should schedule an appointment with me because I not only have growing hands, but I have knowledge to help them achieve their healthy hair goals. Together we can work together at achieving and maintaining the healthy hair that you have or always desired. LaShea Burgess SENIOR STYLIST
