2 Tell us a little bit about you? Where were you born and raised? I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia where I currently reside. I enjoy infusing myself into various art, culture and dance. I have had several opportunities in my life to dance in some form as this is just one of the things I am passionate about besides hair. I can remember being a teen and purchasing hair magazines weekly and reading it from cover to cover because I wanted to know the latest trends in hair and especially reading the natural hair section to educate myself and understand natural hair better. I also have three younger siblings two of which are girls that I call my "little lady models" whom I love dearly. I enjoy maintaining, protecting and growing their beautiful tresses. I am a current college student majoring in Sociology. I would consider myself a pescatarian I enjoy eating mainly fruits and vegetable and seafood as well. Becoming a world traveler and beauty educator is one of my aspirations. Where did you do your cosmetology training? I received cosmetology training from Paul Mitchell the School Esani where I had the opportunity to meet with some of the top names in the hair industry notable John Paul Dejoria and Tabatha Coffey from the show Salon Takeover. What are a couple of areas that you feel are your strengths when it comes to styling? When it comes to styling, my strengths include providing protective styles that last, creating trendy styles that my clients love and most importantly styling with the client's idea in mind. I am also passionate about loc maintenance. If you were going to visit salon, what would an ideal salon experience look like? To me an ideal salon experience would be in a relaxing environment along with relaxing music. I believe the experience begins from the time I walk through the door from the warm greeting to receiving my service in a timely manner, an amazing shampoo and scalp massage would be nice as well! Offering a snack or beverage is nice gesture and enhances the experience. To complete the experience I believe a great style should be given along with the proper education to maintain healthy beautiful hair! What are a couple of healthy hair tips that you would give somebody sitting in your styling chair? A couple of healthy tips for someone sitting in my styling would include keeping your hair moisturized often, protecting your hair with a scarf or bonnet before bed. Since healthy hair starts from the inside out I would stress the importance of a health diet, exercise and maintaining a consistent weekly regimen. How are you currently wearing your hair most frequently these days? Currently I like to wear my locs in trendy protective styles that last me a while. From curls to two-strand twist often change my hair depending on my mood. If you could visit a city/place, where would it be and why? I would love to visit Jamaica or any Caribbean island for that matter! I love the culture and food and I would like to explore more of the islands and connect with people. I also enjoy the clear waters and white sandy beaches. Why should a potential client schedule an appointment with you? A potential client should schedule an appointment with me because I will remain professional provide consistent service and results while ensuring healthy hair, providing education to clients and a trendy style.
