nanoSMOOTHING FAQs Q: What is the nanoSMOOTHING System? A: The Huetiful nanoSMOOTHING™ System is one of the most advanced and safest low pH systems that is designed to silken, stretch and smooth wavy or curly, frizzy or processed hair, resulting in stronger, healthier, more manageable hair that can be worn straight or in its natural wavy or curly state. The system works without the use of harsh, permanent chemicals or without permanent alteration to the hair's bond structure. The Huetiful nanoSMOOTHING™ System is not a chemical. It is neither a relaxer nor keratin system. The Huetiful nanoSMOOTHING™ System is a certified Formaldehyde Fre system that uses molecules that are smaller than keratin molecules. The Huetiful nanoSMOOTHING™ System does not rely on harsh chemicals to facilitate the penetration of the smoothing treatment. Q: How does the Huetiful nanoSMOOTHING™ System work? A: The Huetiful nanoSMOOTHING™ System's amino acid based formula temporary elongates the bonds of the hair. When proper heat is applied it creates a reaction that infuses essential hair proteins inside the hair and rebuilds the hair from the inside out. Q: How much time should be allowed for each client? A: Time should be determined based on an individual basis and is dependent upon such factors as hair length, type, and texture. Q: What results can be expected after the treatment? A: Silky, straight and smooth, frizzy free, stronger, healthier and more manageable hair Q: Can hair be colored before the treatment? A: Yes. It is recommended that color be applied to hair at least one week prior to applying the treatment. It may be necessary to formulate one to two shades darker as the system my lift/lighten the color by one to two shades. Q: Can the treatment be done on chemically treated hair, previously relaxed or straightened hair? A: The Huetiful nanoSMOOTHING™ System is perfectly suited to be used on previously relaxed hair that is transitioning to natural. It will eliminate frizz while restoring hair strength; making it silky and smooth. Q: How many days after the treatment before the hair can get wet or be washed? A: For optimal results, it is recommended to shampoo hair 2-7 days after treatment with Huetiful after-care Shampoo and Conditioner, which is specifically designed to maintain the results of the treatment. Q: What should be done if the hair gets wet before suggested time to wash hair? A: Exposing the hair to moisture or water before the recommended time to wash the hair will not change the effectiveness of the treatment. The hair will slightly revert to its natural curl and can easily be straightened and smoothed back with a light blow dry and comb out.
